What's the best way to beat 4-5-1V?

I won the Triple this Season (3), I conceeded max. 2 Goals in one game.

After the last game today, I made some friendlies to try some counter-formations and all of them worked - beside 4-5-1V. And the worst thing of all, Iost vs 5.2 weaker team. It was a reallife-friend, so we made the following tests with the same conditions every game:
Both: full condition, full moral, no winbonus on friendly, no fans at all.

    He always plays:
    normal-BDF-mixed-off
    low-normal-zonal-off

    1st try:

    3n-2w(DML/DMR)-3n(MC)-2 (ST)
    offensiv-mixed-long-off
    low-normal-zonal-on

    1:4

    2nd try:
    3n-2w(DML/DMR)-3n(MC)-2 (ST)
    normal-mixed-short-off
    low-normal-zonal-off

    0:3

    3rd try:
    3n-2w(DML/DMR)-3n(MC)-2 (ST)
    normal-DBF-short-on
    low-normal-zonal-off

    0:3

    4th try:
    4-3n-3
    normal-TTM-short-off
    high-normal-zonal-off

    0:2

    5th try:
    4-3n-3
    defensive-mixed-mixed-on
    low-normal-zonal-off

    0:3

    6th try:
    4-2n(MC)-2w (AML/AMR)-2(ST)
    normal-mixed-mixed-off
    low-normal-zonal-off

    0:2

    7th try:
    4-2n(MC)-2w (AML/AMR)-2(ST)
    offensive-mixed-mixed-off
    low-normal-zonal-on

    0:3

    Last try:
    4-5-1V on my own
    normal-mixed-mixed-on
    low-normal-zonal-off

3:0 win (He only had 2 shots on target)

So is this possible? Is 4-5-1V "overpowered" or was it my tactic-set? I mean, I used the known counter, but nothing worked.
(I tried it, because I don't can handle 4-5-1V and ND... yesterday I was so lucky to win CL 1:0 - I (4-5-1V) had only 4 shots on target, my oppo (ND) 9. My Keeper saved 7.)

    Hi
These are not permanent stats.Sometimes you lose with that formation and sometime you win. JUST KEEP ON CHANGING TACTICS.

I'm getting pretty decent results with 4-3N-2W-1 (normal, flanks). You could give it a try.

With little help from you at 2nd leg in (Cup) 1/8-Finals and 1/4...

The reason, why I opened this thread, is, that I want (to try) to understand how to create (counter) formation for specific formation/tactics. So I can try to change during a game. For example: Last season I was down 0:1 (~60'), switched some tactics and from this moment, opponent got 8 shots on my goal, I got nothing... only two yellow cards... -.-

Another example: 1/8 Finals in Cup... 1st leg I don't know, what I should do during the game (after 0:2)... I was downed...
For the 2nd leg, Abhinav told me formation and tactic I never tought about something like that before... and destroyed his dream of the Cup...

Today I had a really hard cup entry: ~2 points stronger opponent (1 level above). He was their with some friends. At half time, it was 1:2. Changed tactic and one position: won 5:2.
So I think, I'm on the way to know what I'm doing... but I also saw, Cups will be harder (especially for me, because I like my team/players and like the hold them - so it's okay, to get hard teams. For sure, goal is to bring the Cup home - but if it isn't able, I just want to give my best in every game.)

Its 4 3 1 2str? I believe more it's your tactics than your formation, squad weaknesses and all that stuff.

    As a formation 3 4 3 or something like that. 3 CM, 4 flat, with 3 attackers.
