    Countering unbalanced offensive formations

For example, a team has a 4-3-1-2 with two strikers with one to the left and right and an AML or a 3-3-2-2 with an AML and AMR with the forwards o the left and the center... These teams almost always seem to create open space for their attacking players even with a dmc and dr-dc-dc-dl in the back. What is the best way to counter these type of unbalanced formations? sorry if I did not give enough info.

I don't bother to counter an asymmetrical or weird formation.
I just use my favorite formation with the best players I have.
If it's not working, I switch something .
