4-1-4-1 with a holding midfielder

I played my usual 4-5-1 formation against a team which is 79% quality and I'm 87%. Is it possible to get completely dominated by that team? Also is there another way to beat that formation? I was thinking playing 3-4-3 but my 3 CB's always get low rated. Any suggestion people?

4-1-4-1 is a tough formation
I would go for 3Dw- 2DMC- 2MC- AML-AMR-ST
It needs good coaching

I find 4-1-4-1 is hard to beat also. Not many teams who have 2 good DMC and also have 2 good wingers to beat it.

But 4-1-4-1 isnt much aggresive either. I see those people using it doesn't rout much lesser opponents.
