Hello just searched the threads but cant find this format. I even looked at the table of formations but cant find this format there either.

Teams are evenly matched his best player is his striker.

Any ideas how to counter this please. All suggestions greatly received.

Its the first round of the cup. We are both lvl2 and i am the away side. A draw would be perfect. I was planning on 4-1-2-1-2 hard defence. My opponent is active and i cant see his previous games.

it's a little bit different from 4-4-2 ND (narrow diamond, 4D-1DMC-2MC-AMC-2ST)
3DC +1 DMC are ok for your defense.
