4-5-1 V style

hey guys,
So i've been using the 4-5-1 V style for some time and it suits me well. Allows me to switch to a normal 4-1-4-1 when i need to defend.
so in my league the top guy uses the annoying 4-3(N)-1-2 and keeps winning. our first encounter he won 2-0 (his team was better rated back then) and i barely had a shot on target. we play soon and i need to win. how can i use my formation to beat him? (i think i dont have the best tactics for my 4-5-1 V style).
help with beating him (my team has a better rating now ) and also generally what tactics go best with 4-5-1 V style??

It's not a 4-5-1V but you need only an AMC, at least.

I don't really have a good AMC it would lower my rating

Does your team suit 3N-1-3N-2W-1? If so, use it because it actually works a treat against it.

Exactly, Hard Attacking-Long Passes-Through the middle-Counter Attacks on-low pressing- Normal tackling-Zonal marking-no offside trap.

I know it seems strange, but it really works, trust me I was really surprised by the result when I played with this for the first time But of course, try it in one or two friendly games to make sure.

I would play 3DC-1DMC-3MC-AML-AMR-ST against this

Agree. 4-5-1V does not like much 3MCs.

hard attacking and down the middle? i thought down the flanks due to my AML and AMR?
