Ok,so in 4-1-3w-2 there is a DMC.hence it is useless to play an AMC.he has a back four.to give his defense a challenge ,u have to play at least 2 strikers up front.he has a wide three midfield with only one central midfielder.this is his main weakness.as he has only one player in central midfield,it will be tough for him to maintain possession if u play a midfield strong formation.he has wingers and 2 strikers, hence,u have to play with a back 4.

The obvious solution here is playing a formation like 4-4-2 which has
1)a back four to defend against his wingers and strikers
2)more midfielders than him in central midfield(2 vs 1)
3)absence of AMC so as to avoid his DMC
4)two strikers up front who will be supplied by the midfielders.

I would prefer going thru the middle ,but suppose opposition DMC is stopping all ur central attacks(unlikely),the special thing about 4-4-2 is that it allows u to play down the flanks.hence,it gives u two options.

Another option is the 4-3n-2w-1 formation.why?
1)it does not have AMC.hence u will avoid his DMC
2)u will have three midfielders vs his one midfielder in central midfield
3)ur wingers can easily terrorize his back four from advanced positions especially during counters.
4)u will have a back 4 to stop his wingers and strikers.

Also like the 4-4-2 this formation also gives u the option of playing down the flanks along with thru the middle.
