Is 4-1-3-2 the Ultimate Formation?

Quite simple, is

DL-DC-DC-DR
DMC
MC-MC-MC
ST-ST

the best formation? This will be the 3rd season i will finish 2nd in my league,maybe,currently first ;) But the least 2 seasons the teams with this formation have gone on to win the League. They NEVER change formation,not like me,always find a counter,makes the game fun :p I will end the season...again.... scoring a lot more goals and letting in less,than this formation,BUT he will no doubt go on the win the title,as the only game(s) he will lose is against me!! I drop point against weaker teams,where I dominate and have more shoots on goal,but it's part of the game,would be boring to win every game :D

So T11 fans...is this the ultimate formation??? :cool:

Seems like You are right. I also have noted that teams with centre-based formations goes better. I mean formations like 4-3N-3, 4-1-2N-1-2,4-2N-2N(MC)-2 or even 4-1(MC)-2N-3. Flank-based formations are more wastefull.

Or do You think flank players in football are completely useless ???????!!!!!

i dont think so.. i always destroy all that formations with 4-4-2 hexagon..

This formation can be 'destroyed',beat it 5-0 this season with

DL-DC-DC-DR
MC-MC-MC
AML-AMR
ST

BUT over the whole season,the last 3 seasons,the team that play this Formation go on to win the league.By my CL Semis,2 teams and myself have 40+ strong teams,the other 32. He has beaten 40+ teams,with this 4-1-3-2 formation.HOWEVER,Nordeus probabley read this.....second place in my league just lost his second game hahahahahahaha :D

I have never lost against 4-1-3-2 when playing a 4-3-2-1 formation

There is no such things as the ultimate formation.

I don't lose either,probabley will now:p, playing 4-3-2-1,but as I said,this team,over 26 games,goes on to become champion.For example I scored 117 goals last season,6 against,finished 2nd.1st scored 80 goals let in 15!! Must play the team that play 4-1-3-2 again tuesday,looking forward to it:rolleyes:

I will try your formation sometime and will let you know. I think it is good against any formation that are weak in the MC since it have 3MC. However this formation is quite similar to:

4-1-3W-2
DL-DC-DC-DR
DMC
ML-MC-MR
ST-ST

Narrow Diamond
DL-DC-DC-DR
DMC
MC-MC
AMC
ST-ST

Dont you think that 2 formations are also very effective ?

I'm no expert,but I only play a DMC when the opposition has a AMC. Played 4th place yesterday,that plays this 4-1-3-2 Tactic,beat him away 5-1,with 4-3-2W-1.Have never drawn or lose with this formation playing against it!! The problem is,in my league,no other team counters it,so this team goes on to be champion,grinding out 1-0,2-1, 3-1 wins all the time!! I go on holiday for 2 weeks soon,so will let my team play this 4-1-3-2 for the 2 weeks and see how I get on ;)

So You confirm one more time that teams with centre-based formations plays as a rule better !

I think 2-nd formation will be effective only in case You are better team. It seams like battle "forehead against forehead" where 2 centre-based formations are meeting.

The first formations (with DR/L & MR/L) will be more interesting:p and more effective - try to attack flanks.

I think with a strong Left and Right back,teams will find it very hard to beat you. Personally I have seen it win a lot more than it draws and loses!! 2 differant teams winning the league in 2 differant seasons can't be wrong?? It's a save bet ;)

Thank to you Dazza, from now on 4-1-3-2 will be my favorite formation against team with weak in the middle. Cheers

League current position :
1-st place - team centre-based formation (+50 goal differ.)
2-nd place - team centre-based formation (+65 goal differ.)
3-rd place - team playing different formations (mostly flank-based) (+85 goal)

Champ.League:
semi-final - 3 teams playing only centre-based formations (like 4-3N-3 or very similar)

Cup -ALL !!!4 teams playing only centre-based formations !!!!!! Only one of them played with flank-attack very few times. Other 3 even don't have MR/L, AMR/L in the squad.

I saw few others leagues and cups - the same situation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you won your matches coz your team was simply much better than other leagues. In league 1. i had a formation 3-2-3-2. its not the best formation and it can be countered, but i beat my opponents anyways coz my team was much higher. counter formations come into play when the teams are even, there is no such thing as ultimate formation :) 4-1-3-2 is actually weak in flanks and a flank formation could beat it i think lol.

4-3N-2W-1 beats 4-1-3N-2,seems everytime,when teams are almost even. Just think you could leave your team on auto for a season with 4-1-3-2 and you would do very very well. Actually won my league for the first time in 3 seasons (i use differant formations),usually I come second to this 4-1-3-2 formation,now it's/he's second.....and third!!!!LOL :rolleyes: CL Final tonight....I'm playing narrow :D

It's the best you can choose if you don't want to attend matches for sure. 4-1-3N-1-1 is also good.

So Yulyus my man,we might be on to something!! After losing 2 out of 2 CL Finals playing wide,against much weaker teams. I decided last night to play 'narrow diamand' (first time I've gone narrow for 2 months!!) against 4-4-2 classic. EVERY season he has won the League AND CL(Nice Trophy cabinet!!:p),team just as strong as mine!! I won......4-1, I was 4-0 up until the 88th minute!!:rolleyes: Oh,forgot to say,in the semis, Played Butterfly and V formation against 4-4-2 classic,he was weaker team,drew both games 2-2,went to the Finals on penalties!! Still when I play against 4-4-2 again,I know what I'll be playing :cool:

Really? I have a 4-2-3W-1 with passing down the flanks and it works well.

I can beat this with my 4-2-3W-1

If everybody starts using center based formations, that should make wing formations more effective

This is where this game got it wrong, now, 99% of the team play with a DMC even he plays high on the pitch, it remains a DMC

Can someone suggest the settings for 4-3-2w-1 please, also want to know what formation counter it, Please share your experience..

I just finished playing a 4-1-3-2. Countered it with 4-3-2-1. My first half tactics were defensive, down both flanks, own half, normal, mixed, zonal with force counter. I went down an early goal and by half time I switched out of defensive and counter. Went aggressive late in the game and sent everyone forward and got a late equalizer. Seems like every time I try to play a formation that is supposed to be the counter to the one I am facing I don't do too well. My squad was a few points better in quality and I had bonus 8% possession.

4-1-3N-2 is not ultimate formation.It's very easy to counter it.

Because it's easy to counter.This formation hasn't any wings for attacking.There are no ML/MR/AML/AMR/AMC.There are no attacking midfield.It's good in defensive,but when I use ML and MR and I counter it very easy.To counter it it's not necessary to use DL/DR/DML/DMR to stop it.It's not necessary to use DMC either.I can use at least 5 formation to stop this formation.
4-1-4-1 , 3-5-2 flat , 4-5-1 flat , 4-4-2 , 4-3N-3 , 3-4-3, 4-1-3W-2 , 3-5-2 V , butterfly.
In fact I used this formation first 1-2 seasons too...But now Im playing my 30th level.It's not hopefully to use this formation and then go to vacation without seeing my team...Cuz it's easy to counter it.
If I go to vacation for one week,I'll put other 4-5 formations,but never 4-1-3N-2 cuz I'll be lost against stronger teams.
