i would play

Play on the wings, because most of his players are in the middle, so his weak points are the wings, but on the other side you balance the midfield with 2 of your MC'S and your DMC
Pressure on whole pitch

but i think your formation 4-5-1 V will work here too.

the first on is not a defensive formations. he's using his def midfielders as attacking threats there. for the second one after he changed, use 3 at the back(left back, centre back, right back), 1 defensive midfielder(centre), 1 midfielder(centre), 4 attacking midfielders(left, right, 2 centre either side of his dmc), 1 striker. use up arrow on ur two wide attacking midfielders.
