Countering 4-4-2

I am playing Champs league Semi 2nd leg and my opponent who is a scout plays 4-4-2, in the first leg I played 4-5-1V and it ended 0-0 so I was wondering if anybody would recommend if I played the same formation or changed to narrow diamond or butterfly as I don't want this going to extra time?

I would prefer butterfly, with the right orders you should win it. I always play it normal of defensive against a better team.

But i'm a level 3 player so you've got more experience i suppose...

Butterfly doesnt work for me any more and i dont understand why. I will use narrow diamond instead because to me it is more effective nowadays since it has 2 strikers you should get more goal. Goodluck

I use 4-4-2 classic and I was stopped twice by this formation
and I was shocked cause I am dominating my league ..

4-2mc-aml/r-2st normal-flanks-nixed pass-red arrows on dl/r or 4-4-1-1 attack-mixed-short-zonal-red arrows on ml/r and amc
or 4-4-2 defensive-flanks-long-zonal-force counter-red arrows on dl/r and ml/r
