4-5-1 V style Defence strategy

With the new season start i'm now level 3 manager.

Last season was a great experience for me. Won the title, lost 8-3 on agg in the cup semi final and lost 3-2 after ET in the super league final, my team down to ten man in 40 mins.

I have a question, when playing 4-5-1 v style, i use hard tackling to prevent opp threat. I know the consequence of using this system, but is there a way to prevent my player (DMC) get red card.

No need to play hard tackling, you will only concede free kicks an gain yellow/red cards

For 4-5-1v against a strong opponent play hard defending, mixed passes, down flanks, high press no offside

I beat a team 20 points better than me in cup final last year using that formation

Yeah, i learn my lesson last season so definitely will not do it again.
