Strange formation
This guy plays chaotic formation, but it seems good for him, cos he is winning a lot. The screenshot below:

So, my question is as a general approach what is better:
(1) to build a well organised standard formation as counter (for instance like 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1)
(2) or to try find his weak spots and build equally chaotic formation?
What would you suggest?
Can you please also confirm my understanding of general rules based on analysis of the suggested counter-formations:
(1) If I choose defense: AML/AMR are better countered by DML/DMR (comparing with LM/RM plus LD/RD). The reason because DML/DMR is placed in front of AML/AMR and blocks all the passes
(2) If I choose attack: DML/DMR are better countered by LM/RM (comparing with ALM/ARM for the same reason as explained above);
(3) If I choose defense: MC/ML/MR are better countered by MC/ML/MR (comparing with DMC/DML/DMR);
(4) 3 DC are better countered by AML+ST+AMR (comparing with 2 ST or 3 ST)
(5) DR-DC-DL are better countered by ST+AMC+ST (comparing with 3 ST or AML+ST+AMR)
(6) DR-DC-DC-DL are better countered by ML+ST+MR or AML+ST+AMR or ST+AMC+ST

Reading your post, I think that you have to play at least with 1 AMC & 2 ST or 3 ST
for ex: 3dc - DML -DMR - MC - MC - 3 ST playing long balls
