Play defensive or not ?

Hi,

I will play tonight a Cup match against a better team than mine.
I have done draw 3-3 outside...

His team is a 4-3-3 and I will play 4-1-4-1 and I would like to play in defensive mentality to maintain my advantage.
But I don't really like to play in defensive (in an other topic, I have seen that you have 60% to make draw, 10 % win, and
30% to loose)

So, in which case do you play in defensive mentality ?

What do you advice ?

Go 3-5-2 and attack him! Go for it. Put blue arrows on your 3 DC.

dont play with defensive mentality.. if your opponent has better quality and good in ball possesion, you have to play normal mentality and focus on counter attacking..

I've played some games using 4-1-4-1 against better opponents, and all games played with defensive mentality, long passing and counterattack. I won all of those games with 1-0 or 2-1. So, I think playing defensive is not that 10%.

I played defensive and my statistics were :
62 % ball possession
17 tirs against 10
