How i can improve my team and tactic?

I want to create good offensive team.
My current build is 3-1-2-2-2
Tactic:
1. Attacking
2. Mixed
3. Short
4. On
5. High
6. Normal
7. Man to Man
8. On

The formation leaves the Defense very open. Without a DMC and having only 3 Defenders will make it easy for opponents to play in your half from my experience. I'm a new to this game though but that's my thoughts.

Try 4-2-2-2. That is 4 defenders, 2 cm, 2 wingers and 2 strikers.
A variation of this is 2-2-2-2-2 which is 2 wing backs and 2 cd instead of a flat back 4.
If you play a tough team you could drop a cm back to dmc.
