I just go by his judgement because he's very experienced. I have tested short passing with attacking tactics involving AML/AMR and the passes are usually cut out, change to mixed and we scored more.

If I used 3-4-1-2 or 4-2-2-2 I would consider going attackive but my 4-5-1V is a balanced tactic.
Hello everybody ! :)
I am looking for advices to improve orders of my 4-4-2 formation.
Usually I play with this orders :
- defensive mentality
- through both flanks
- own half
- hard tackle
- mixed passing
- zonal marking
- counter attack
- no offside trap
About mentality, tackle and counter attack, it depends on your opponent and about your player characteristics, so I don't discuss this items.
In the past, I didn't play with red arrows on ML and MR, but you are alright and it seems be a good idea.
But I can't make a choice about passing. dv8r gives as advice to play with short passing, July Fourth gives as advice in his guide named 'July Fourth's Unofficial Top Eleven Guide' to play with long passing, and on the previous forum I received as advice to play with mixed passing.
So I am a bit lost. :D
