4-5-1 V style is the best tactic against 4-3-3.I defeated much stronger opponents than me with that formation.
play a friendly with him with my sub-team because i rested some key players for next match. .result:1-2 defeated what i can get from 3-6-1v is
1. it works . but not really well . seems no fomation could really work well against him.
2. too much foul by my MC,receiving cards and giving out free kicks .
3.both of his goals is from set piece . free kick and corner. . his FKS player makes me embarrasing.
4. he has no shot on target in the first half . but improved too much in the second half .
5.his defense is metal . made every successful challenge on my passing and some else .
here are the stats of the friendly match.

4-5-1V style formation is not simple formation. It depends how u use your mentality and arrows and this change all formation.Use red arrows on DL/DR/MC/MC/AML/AMR attacking mentality from the flanks and blue arron on your DMC.But if you dont like this formation try 4-4-1-1
Yesterday we faced a stronger (3-4 quality higher) 4-3N-3, and managed to beat (4-1!) by using a hexagon: 4-2MC-AML/AMR-2ST, with attacking mentality down the flanks. I guess he set his formation up in such a way that he didnt expect weaker opponents to go for attack.
i cant use attacking mentality against him. i said before . he has metal-like defense. i think i should use 3-6-1v ...
2 weeks ago i beat him 3-1 but now i was wondering why my players had dropped form. no overtrain, morale always high...
i have a better GK andDMC now, that was a suprising win, his players never play badly.

breaking news. he was defeated 3-1 in league match just now by a all 5-star team which is using 4-3N-1-2
