Just a possibility, coz' he gots 5 Def.Why do you think he plays counter attack? how can you know that?
If i was him, i'd play counter attack with long ball...

if you have bad MC (which low star or even bad rating after match) use long ball.
u can see he only attack in middle even with counter. so 4-1-3N-2 . seems you only have 2 MC . so . 4-5-1-v. if you did not have any AML AMR 4-1-4-1 with your ml mr dl dr st arrow up.
