Counter 4 1 2 3

How to play against this tactics I used 4 5 1 v style and lost

Thank your for the help what about order should I go with attack pass both flanks pressing whole team with off side trap? His rating 21.4 and mine is 20.6 ..

I fully disagree with your counter-formation.You even dont have wingbacks.His AML and AMR will score you at least two goals with that possition.

When he says 4-1-2-3, he probably means a DMC and 2 MCs which is what I've seen fairly often in this game.

In which case, my counter-formation is the right way to go because you don't NEED any wingback or DL/DR.

Going to play against that formation for Champion's League final in 30 minutes, i will try to play 4-1-3-2.

Def, counter, long pass, both flanks and normal tackling.
Red arrow on ML-MR and blue on DCs (and one on my left ST, which can play AML and has the shadow striker capability).
Will post my results.

Edit: Won 1-0, add 8% possession as my opposent wasn't there, but i could have won 3-0 easily, i had almost all the opportunities to score.

im up against this formation tonight, and will use your advice dv8r. my orders for the 3n-3n-2w-2 will be:
attacking, down both flanks, mixed, hard tackling, zonal, whole pitch or own half, offside trap on and counter attack off. red arrows on AML/R and both STs. wish me luck. :)

i am facing this formation however, the 2 is a wide formation, mr/ml any ideas and what orders?

4-1-4-1 is the way to go for sure
