Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova complained to the Nordeus FA after the earlier result in the first leg in the champions league at Allianz Arena. Instead he bought 500T and bought some new players and used the 300 or so medic packs available on standby. Bayern munich being 4-0 infront from the first leg, were in control here and didn't need to make any changes from the first leg, Arjen Robben scored a vital away goal for Bayern Munich on 9 minutes on a counter attack to put it past Valdes, Messi responded as usual on 22 minutes to equalise on the night and Bayern Munich scored another goal just before half-time from Thomas Meuller from a Franck Ribery Corner. Messi took a knock just before half-time and was injured.

Messi, Puyol and Sanchez were substituted in desperation and the Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova brought on 3 new players... Papaleo, Ramirez and Petersen! Barcelona needed to score 6 goals in the second half to qualify for the final. Chano Petersen got Barcelona a goal on 48 minutes, and on 56 minutes Petersen scored again with a free-kick. On 72 minutes Fabregas was brought down in the penalty area and Papaleo put away the penalty, Then a Petersen corner on 76 minutes found Papaleo's head to make 5-2 to Barcelona on the night, Petersen made a hatrick from 20 meters on 85 minutes, then into the 90th minute a long ball forward from Ramirez found Papaleo in the area who was able to volley it past Neuer to get Barcelona dramatically into the Champions League Final.
