And although I remembered to revert to a "legal" formation for todays match I forgot to change my tactics! Got beaten 2-0 and missed out on 14 tokens! Lol. Serves me right for being a greedy...

You can surpass it........but, the game engine is supposedly only going to count that particular skill at 340%. So a skill at 400% should (in theory) be the same as if it was at 340%. Also beware...
