Yes.
But when you say "invest" please tell me you do not mean you used T to rush building... that is not necessary (there are limits to attendance per level) but it is good to continuously build,...

That is the solution implemented for unwanted friendlies, really. It used to be both teams affected.

Pretty much since they did that fix there have been a few complaints only, where before it was hundreds.
Most are happy with it now, and it isn't likely to be changed soon.

:) My players' hobby is ice hockey. The phys stats really do make a difference. I did notice a bad injury run a couple days ago, but I did do a bunch of training (hundreds of greens) a day before...
