3N-5-2v is a better counter formation. Why use DL/DR when he has no attacking flank players? Best to set up 3 in central defence and have an extra striker.

4-1-4-1 is probably a better choice as it protects your flanks better. Attacking, down both flanks, own half, hard tackle, zonal, mixed passing, no counter (unless he's stronger), no offside trap......
