For your situation against nd, I would go 3(dc-dc-dc)-1(dmc)-3(MC)-2(aml-amr)-1(st)
Since he has no wingers in the midfield, I go with no wings on my defensive...

Please post here and not in general discussion if it's about tactics.
I would use 4-5-1 V, defense/counter/flanks/mix pass/zonal/low press

Trying to set the formation is the first step
Then depending from your players and the result you want.
If have MR & ML play flat
if have AMR/MR or AML/ML then remember when they are performing...

Yes,is true.I think red arrows on MC can help your attacking menatality,but is correct and your tactik with normal MC for safety on middle of the team.

Any formation with 4-2DMC will be countered by 4-3N-1-2, in my experience... Normal/Counter/Low/Zonal/Thru' middle.

2 Dmc means no chance of middle but he have fullbacks also.I think your opponent will counter attack
you so Be ready for it.
You can take 4defenders,1 dmc with backward arrow,2 Mc with 2 attacking...
