The job of the ball boy has changed in football recently, when the home team is infront, the ball boys job is slow play down to waste time for the away side, If the home side is losing, the ball boys job is to get the ball back to the players as quick as they can to give the home team the best chance of getting back in the game. Its a new trend that originated in the nPower Championship.

Some clubs just would go the extra distance to try and gain an advantage one way of another, the ball boys at stoke use towels so Rory Delap gets a firm grip on the ball when he takes the long throw ins.

Ballboy got everything he deserved. And he is the son of a Swansea director, so maybe they should be punished as well.
