Could it be posssible to change servers and put friends of the same level in your league??I have a couple who joined after I did maybe a week or so later on the same level but different servers..

That is a great idea, but as far as I know you cannot switch servers. It is something that would be something they should do in the future
Although it would be nice, I can forsee angry threads on here complaining of players being lost in the process, or losing tokens whilst it happened - big changes like this are very hard to roll out smoothly.
