Cup tournament is unfair

Since I got stage 3 I always like 90% play with higher stage in cup tournament but that’s not all. the problem is that they have higher stats than me. No matter what I do to upgrade my team since they are 1-2 sometimes 3 stages higher they can be much better.in my current tournament I got a stage 7 one stage higher than me with 50.8 and mine is 42.3 seriously!!!!!! Guys do something about it else take of the cup tournament this is getting very annoying.
