Have only ever trained a SA a couple of times and never regretted it, but would rather buy a player with the one I'm after and use the 40/50 skill points to advance them a over half a star.

My number one striker scored four goals tonight.One from a pen and two from free kicks and has SA in neither.I have two defenders that clear corners with their heads 99/100 yet neither have aerial ability SA.The SA is there in your players without wasting valuable skill points,you just have to find them.
