I'm playing on my Android phone so my suggestions are in/for that platform:

I'd like to be able to send messages to managers on my "friends" list.
It would help us trash talk, coordinate watching each other's matches, and generally add a new layer of interaction the game when perhaps other game elements are in a "waiting" status.
