As an idea, each new trophy will please managers but you haven't counted everything and your idea isn't practical at all.

First of all, CUP is based on more levels and the variation can be good and second, the league is formed from 14 teams and CUP from 128 so how do you plan to solve this? There won't be enough teams to do it.
