    Secret Starting Eleven

I think that i shouldn't be able to see the starting eleven that my opponent plans to use to face me. Yes, we would still be able to see his last formations and starting players, but we wouldn't be able to see if suddenly he changed his 4-1-4-1 to a 4-5-1v, for example. It would work both ways (he wouldn't see my changes too). This is how it works on real football. We all know how a team is used to play, we all know who will probably be the starters, we all know the squad from the team, but you don't know if for this single game the manager is going to try to do something insane. Top Eleven would become more entertaining if we couldn't see the opponent's lineup formation.

I think this suggestion is fine. But current squad of opponent must still be checked as usual. So that I still know their available players, or even make negotiation offers, etc.

In extreme case, if the opponent replace the whole team after last match, the players started in last match will be shown in formation even if all of them have been sold and the new players.will be shown in a squad list

Hm, not being able to see the opponent's formation prior to the match would, at the very least, make a lot more managers watch their games. Really interesting suggestion.

But what should happen when you open up the match? Normally as it stands right now you can't make any changes to the Squad before the first whistle blows.

Maybe the limitation should drop and perhaps the time before the match stars, should be increased in order to compensate for the lack of information and give both teams some time to do quick prep-work before the referee signals for the start?

Well, i think that it would be great. Let me use a real football example to compare. Let's imagine today is United x City. Mourinho has chosen a starting eleven and so did Guardiola. Their initial squads are now closed and they can't change their players. In the other hand, they can still do somethings:

    1) Change the formation. Not the starting eleven. Mourinho can still decide if Martial will be a lone striker with Rashford on the left or the other way around. Thinking about T11: The players that watch the match could have 5 or 10 minutes to change their formation after the release of the squads. However, we wouldn't still be able to see our opponents formation. Only their starting players. If a guy have the players to change a 4-4-2 to a 4-4-1-1, you wouldn't know which one it would be before the game really started, as we all know, most of the times the teams try to hide what they plan to do.

    2) Change their tactics. After the squads relase, Guardiola sees that United is playing with Pogba, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Mata and Rooney on the midfield. He would probably assume that United is going to be offensive, as there are no holding midfielders, and therefore he would try to shape his team with a defensive mentality, trying to focus on counter attacks. Thinking about T11: The starting eleven from your opponent is available. You can see if your opponent has chosen to play with a holding midfielder or to play with one more striker, so before the match start you can still change if you are going to play with offensive or defensive mentality, for example.

    3) Those changes before the match starts would have to be quick. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes like mentioned above.
