Because the Official Thread is already closed and Youth Academy still sucks, rather than ranting non stop about the players we get, let's think about the most balanced Youth Academy Concept you can think of!

I'll still go with this :


After certain amount of days, you'll be rewarded with homegrown academy players depending on your Youth Academy level (for example 2 for level one and the numbers increase each time you level up the facility) and they are all ranging from 2 to 5 stars. Then we will choose 1 free player from the 2 star roster and if we decide to add more, we are given opportunity to sign more using tokens and I'd like these prices :


Adding 1 player costs 1 Token
2* players cost nothing
3* players cost 1 Token each
4* players cost 2-3 Tokens each
5* players cost 3-5 Tokens each

At least I'm saying this because you're only given 2 players with the higher one being priced more than 10Ts and occasionally they are in the position that you don't really need (example you are running 4-5-1 V formation but rewarded with an MR and an AMC or you are using 4-4-2 flat but rewarded with a DMC and an AMR).

Then the players you don't sign will be added to the transfer market as Nordgens (because I don't think Nordeus will like U-30 free agents but if they are that's great!) available for other managers to put their buttloads of tokens on

Why am i keep getting DC and MC only everytime for my 4 star academy player? For as long as i can remember, probably since the last 20 seasons. Where are the GK and ST? DL or DR?

Player position random.
Why not we choose for ourself?

Academy suck! they keep sending me a ballboy instead of a proper player.

Why would anyone want to sign the 4* player from the youth academy for 9-19 tokens?
You can get a better 5* player from the transfer market for 1 token :)
Make the youth players lower cost in terms of tokens and add special abilities to them to make them more attractive to the managers.

In my server bidding war always occurs. Chances getting a 5* 18 Year Old Nordgen for 1T there is 1/1.000.000

with a few modifications the Academy could be awesome IMO.

- lower youngster age to range 16-19
- change quality range to 4-5 star
- make price for promoting to first team max 10 token for a 5 star
- make a list to select between and or dump from academy
- try out talents in few games before promoting them

change nothing! my (almost) all academy team keeps winning and winning.

What is the quality of the teams you are playing? In leagues against all 5*+ teams, an all-academy team isn't very feasible or sustainable.

i'd say the average team quality is about 93%, right now, after first week of the season. highest is just over 100%.

i like gert idea and i add have Youth Cup instead of Cup tournament.

i use the green packs i get in 12 days to power train the 4 star academy player to 6 stars. after that they are on their own. they tend to stay 5+ stars until they are 23-24 and then get replaced by the next generation when they are 26-27 (except now with 25 man squad this will change.)

it doesn't take much to have a good squad really. well, it takes time, but other than that. you get about 60 green packs in 12 days from training ground and by playing games. 10+ more from association games. a few videos per day and you have more than enough for 6+ stars.

and best of all, you don't have to worry about the transfer market.

the best idea is to have a full/proper youth team (ages 14-17) and youth competitions

also history for player development

instead of giving 2 players,
why not the academy suggest 3-4-5 different players,we choose the one we like for free,pay for additional if we want.
