Improving the statistics table

I believe there must be some work from the programmers about the statistics table.

What I mean is that we all know that some times in real football is not the winner team the one which playing better in a game.
But this is happening very few times.
In T11 (my personal experience but reading other posts too), in most of the games where I loose or get a draw, the ball possession is 65-35 or something like this.
It becomes unrealistic and the game looks too random sometimes.
At some part, the efficiency must have some logic relation with b.p.
or the game procedure must calculate with a different way the b.p. giving less numbers.

It's not that I lost (and disqualified after a 2-2 away, or that oppo manager wasn't present in both games or I had better q, or he played with 10 players from 75' blah blah blah)
please focus to the point that in the majority of lost games (like this) the b.p. is a 65-35 or similar.
I could post 10 stats tables like this but it's boring I guess.
Managers of the game understand what I mean.

agree. the statistic is unrealistic i think the is one issue need improvement. it make no sense sometimes.

Too many "park the bus" results. Even the opponent team is playing with 3 defenders or 4.... I could understand if opponent is playing 5 defenders + dmc or something like that...but cmon...

It was a long time that the vent thread was very quite but this season something happened.
And it's different when you see that the b.p. was against you or equal
you had less shots (or about the same) .
In that case you think, ok, it was a bad day, a bad form of some players, a wrong choice of formation, whatever.

But it's unrealistic to have so many bad results with a 65% - 35% b.p.

-) both games were against the same formation and I used against both same formation and tactic.
-) both games were after FA game, so my team was full rested and moraled
-) both games were homeleg


Only difference: 1. stats were against a 15% stronger team, managed - won 2:0
2.stats were against a 53% weaker team, inactive - won 2:1

playing with a manage team will somehow give a balance and realistic stat. playing against an inactive team is like playing against half the strenght of mour team unbalance with unrealistic stat.

I think, you are absolutly right...

I'm black (home), 25% stronger and opponent wasn't there...
My keeper conceeded this season only 8 goals before that game... so, for sure, today he thought "I don't want to win CL, I do nothing"... :rolleyes:

I don't think it's the GK issue this season (as I mentioned about 3 seasons ago, with sudden super GKs).
I believe efficiency is the "weak" point.

I don't agree... I saw this season many saves, 5 and more. My keeper also saved a lot... it's how I said: we conceeded before this game 8 goals... and now he made not a single save?

I beat this guy twice in league, he plays since ~5 season everytime the same formation. He used excatly same player as he used in league.
At league, we won both games without conceeding...

Yes, there is something troll like random in real football, but we can take the initiative in match and win. It's one time i told with @nash123 for this.
Today i've just earn the 2nd Triple. In CL, i meet the oppo stronger than 1 lvl, but he is much stronger than me. He is ~ 136% and me ~ 118%. He has 6 players ~ 141%.

I often care of these indicators: Tackles - Fouls are the main, and secondary Possesion, i dont care these others.
- The Possesion is a parameter just for check. If you adjust correctly, it will increase and vice versa. But it can not say you will win.
- Tackles - Fouls: In case you are stronger, you are completely control of the game, total attack beautiful as the Netherlands but why you have Tackles - Fouls more than Oppo? So you have to adjust your setting and orders immediately.

And I agree with you, there are some random like condition, morale, fans, form rating, ..... Let's have a good preparation

This is my match today. Really lucky i have 7 friends and use the good counter 3n-2w-2-1-2, all DC down. Hard defend / throug middle / shot pass / high pressing / no counter and hard tackling. I see I can win and I wait for the goal :) He attends the game too.

From my observation there is a lot of upset in the game this season expecially in final. the engine favor the underdog to balance the quality of the team same goes for watching vs not watching. something is definately wrong somewhere.

As I can see that many managers are frustrated because they 're loosing (or not able to win) teams in games were the ball possession is 65-35
my suggestion is :
1) The presence of the managers will give 0 to b.p. (it was +8% )

2) The home team (full stadium) will give max 2% (it was +5% )
0% b.p. tickets <40%
1% b.p. tickets <80%
2% b.p. tickets >80%

3)
2 friends/ supporters can give 1%
2 more friends/ supporters can give 2%
2 more friends/ supporters can give 3%
2 more friends/ supporters can give 4%
2 more friends/ supporters can give 5%
(totally 10 friends)

4) The max a team can have in b.p. must be 5%
for example if a team is playing home, in a full stadium and have 6 supporters, gonna have +5%

Those stats with b.p. 65-35 but a minus effect in the match calculations or result, make people frustrated .

What I can't understand - and I've never got an answer to - is why some of the free-kick situations (foul, offending player has got a card) suddenly turn into corners. If it's a free-kick offence, then there should be a free-kick, not a corner.

This is why the Free-kick stat is so bogus. I've had lots of matches with no free-kicks. That's a rarity in real-life...

What I want to say re-posting here is that the game had a broken calculations, stats, rates, long time ago, not the last months.
First time was when the new training system started and you could upgrade unlimited the white skills of the players.
Second was when the devs re-programmed the calculations to set a cap in super-domination scores.
When you were playing vs teams with illegal formations, you could win with a 12 to 18-0.
When playing vs a weak team with no present manager, could win with a 6 to 10-0.
Those scores looked "unrealistic" so they tweak the engine not to permit those scores (for the realism of the game :p ).
The result was to see a ball possession 70%-30 % but very few shots or shot efficiency 10% or super goalkeepers.
The third time was when they try to reduce the effect of mutants or players with very high white skills.
That started before few months.
The effect was that the beat-ability margin from 20-30% to increase 50-60% .
Yep, 3* difference is not enough to secure a victory if you are not present to watch and coach a game.
Some times the game engine ignores your presence so the result is to have double troll results from 2 years ago.

The game calculations should have some specific limits
for example
The shots should have some analogy with the ball possession if you are using the correct formation and orders and have passing over 80%.

The shots on target should have some analogy with the shots if your players have proper attacking skills and same or higher quality from opponents.

Shot efficiency could be little more random but the others should not be roll-dice.

Today in an asso game, playing vs a better quality opponent (99% vs 109% but not present) I was winning till 90'.
Dominating the game, watching the game, the rates of my players were good except the ST (but didn't want to sub him and maybe change the game flow as I was winning).
After the conceded goal at 90' and the draw, could see that almost all the rates of oppo players are much better from mine.
But how comes ?
I had 23 vs 10 shots
11 vs 5 shots on target
87% vs 79% passes
only tackles had better 18-23

The rates are somewhat misleading as many times I have noticed lots of players shifting to red despite that the team is winning and still scoring more goals. Just by seeing the rates, someone could have an impression that a lot of things could be wrong, but then how come the team still scoring?
Clearly, the highlights, the match statistics and so on need improvement, and also those stolen assists problem, but the possession % generator may not be that bad because many teams can still win by parking the bus with long passes or simply by long passing only, and weak teams can win with poor posssesion on a very good day for them but on very bad day for the opponent.

The ball possession is somehow fake because of the supporters.
The issue with the rates is that the final score affects very much the rates after the match.
It's not realistic to have good rates and oppo bad when the game is 2-1 till 80' and after a 2-2 to change like this.
Also don't get it , why Rimi with 8.9 was the motm ? Had only one assist when Giannakopoulos had same rate, 2 assists and your team dominated the game.

The game says you get 2% extra possession per human supporter up to a certain extent. If these were not added and showed in the statistics, users would say it is fake or not working. Does this extra possession have any effect on the match results, even if small, maybe, but that does not mean that when someone has 10 human supporters and he gets the lions share of the possession his team should win. You can keep the ball 70% of the time and still lose by scores like 1-0 or draw 1-1 if you got some parts of your tactics wrong in addition to some bad roll of dices where the chances you got did not go in. What can be done is to completely remove this 2% addition per supporter if that is misleading or it is only visual, but then some will not agree and also there will be less motif for friends to come support.

For the poor shot to shot on target ratio, there can only be one explanation: bad rolls of dice. Your team made a lot of chances but did not take any of them. This is frustrating when this happens, but it does happen even in real life, but here due to poor AI of the game engine, it can happen here and there, even in cases it should not. But, the high number of shots by the opponent is also an indication that you did some things 'wrong' (maybe not logically wrong because, again, this game has poor AI, and it might have well chosen a non logical set of orders as the right one) or the opponent were much stronger that he could have made so many chances.

My guess is he played long balls and counter-attack. This is justified by the high number of shots but poor possession, and the low % pass completion could confirm it if it is relatively low (not showed in the image above). Also, in some cases, where users lost or draw despite having a better team and having good ball possession, they have to consider that the possibility of the opposing manager been smart + he had luck on his side.

It is unrealistic indeed. Since my come back, I have noticed that there are more misses shown in the highlights, sometimes clear, open chances, despite that players that should not be missing that much given their shooting and finishing qualities. The correct way to put it is that the engine is trolled the quality of the players.

In fact, they have. Gareth Bale, Modric, Kroos were 8-star players but on decline, and now can be considered 7-stars. 7-stars means world class level. Thibaut Courtois is also in the upper 7-stars.

Legendary players are those like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at their peak. Now, they can be considered to be superstars.

Modric didn't play at that game.
Bale was once upon a time a 7*-8* player.
Kroos is not a key player (like Modric or Hazard).
Thibaut Courtois ? not even the Real fans can stand him in the squad - lol

T. Courtois has an 88 rating in Fifa 20, and he is among top 10 best GK. Oblak is first, followed by Ter Stegen and Allison. Keylor Navas has a rating of 87.

90-94 Superstar 8 stars

Anyway, real football is different than TE.
The thing is that some devs believe they can simulate this beauty of unexpected in real football by tweaking the game engine in some ways.
The result is tragic.
Today, playing vs a very weak team that uses players out of position
28 shots, 5 shots on target, 2 saves form oppo MC goalkeeper and all his players oop :p

Since we are talking stats the new version of Top11 donsen't have the player historic stats which we can still see in PC and older versions... that would be nice to have back.
