    Cup 3rd place play off.

I haven’t had a decent cup run in a while (partly because im always against teams 1 or 2 levels above me). Anyway, some how I made it to the semi’s but ended up being knocked out.

I was at least expecting a 3rd place play off for at least a chance to get a trophy but instead I’ve had no match? If there’s no match, how is there even a 3rd place trophy.

I’m sure I’ve played matches for a 3rd place before, but this time round there is nothing.

3rd place is for both semifinlist who didn't make it trough the final, there is no match for 3rd place, both of them will be awarded the 3rd place silverware.

That’s boring I would much prefer a match between both teams battling it out. Having two ‘3rd place winners’ seems dull - in every tournament I know of which awards a 3rd place, they have a match between them to decide on who gets that award

U don't get a third place playoff in the European champions League or even the English fa cup. Top eleven is modeled after these real life tournaments

The only time I see a 3rd place match is at the World Cup and other major tournaments, not in club football.

There are also 2 bronze medals in many olympic sports. Honestly, I am happy to avoid this losers' game...

Fair enough, I guess so. Anyway, from now on I’ll call the 3rd place trophy the ‘at least you tried trophy’.
