German Challenge? A small rant.

Well I made it to round ten and lost penalty shoot out 1-4. The teams in cities 7-10 are Super Teams, all nine stars, I have a good team 142 but they are all above 170 to 180. They are suppose to be level six, lol, not in any of the leagues I have seen. Not sure what Nordeus goal or goals are. I guess there are some like me who will try to replay them but it does not make me a happy customer, not sure it is fun if less than 10% of the teams have a chance. I came close but if I make it, it will be a relief. They should have called it the German Gauntlet.

Its a s**t event , i have 112% tried 3 times didnt pass number 7 i gave up.

My record was 12-13 against the group. It was 6-13 against cities 7 through 10. I lost two of those by penalty and another one in the 120 minute. I have spent a lot of tokens, all paid for, to build a good team. I liked training players at first but it is too expensive. However, I am in season six and have lost 6 games total. Tied 13. Just to say I have a very good team so that tells you the mountain facing all most every team to run this gauntlet. So again I wonder what Nordeus goal is? Oh I forgot to sell tokens. LOL. I have written them so it should be interesting to read the spin, I love the game but not as much.

Tried again and beat cities 7 and 8 but 9 beat me 3-2. I guess I am keeping Nordeus afloat.

Yes you are. And that's why they'll keep churning out these rubbish challenges instead of fixing all the other "little" bugs and issues.
My 2 teams were knocked out at cities 4 and 5. I paid tokens for 1 of them to rejoin, but, then enough! Two tours, two bags of nothing. I shan't even bother looking at the next one.
Not tours. They are CHORES.

Most gamers aren't really welcome your tour challenges, both UK and Germany. As for me, I hate most and do not appreciate these challenges. Those are the worst challenges along this games' history. Your developers may be very happy cos they sold many tokens and got real money in their pockets by managers who lost in challenges. I didn't pay and I'll never pay my tokens and real money to their developers unreasonably. I have suggested about this to changes 3 free attampts to rejoin challenges. If your greedy developers do not change that system in future challenges, this game will never be improved in future. In current Germany challenges, 80% of gamers are lost and that losing matches will make gamers very dissapointed. Why did your developers not think that rejoining challenge with cash? Team cash are not real money for developers, so to get real money, your developers will do anything upon gamers. What a SCAM CHALLENGE!!!! Both UK and Germany challenges are absolutely not welcome. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I tried again. The teams are just too good. Really it is cheating. Cheating the customer. It is like me playing with my eight year old grandson. If the odds are 100 to 1. I cannot see a reason for it being impossible.

Almost fell over when I checked my team to see this scheme was extended. I checked my champions league teams or rivals. Only four teams had won the first stage jersey reward. I have both and even beat city ten once but there is no way if any of my CL rivals can compete. Perhaps if they want to spend $500 dollars to see if they could come close to training their teams to a 175 to 180 level. Remember Nordeus New Years Gift was one rest, health, and moral package. Cost the company what ten cents? Wink.

I didn’t mind the German challenge I rejoined once and got to the first free player. I think the jersey give away is a bit of a waste in the higher levels.

The challenge idea is a waste of time
Let them stick to the goals and assist as well as how old the goal scorer is
That's the only reasonable way to get tokens for us all

I think it was way too expensive to rejoin, particularly since you knew you were most likely to get pummeled again anyway.

Still, my main gripe with the challenge (and with the way Top Eleven currently works) is that the quality of the opposing teams was based on the quality of your team. This makes no sense whatsoever to me. It completely defeats the purpose of building a strong team, since you will have as much difficulty in the challenge playing as a 150% team as you would with a 50% one.

For instance, I must have been around 110% at the time of the challenge. Team 10 (Berlin) was 159%. I think I rejoined twice but could never get past city 7. But then I remembered a second team I had created years ago to try out a few things and pretty much not touched since. I went back to it and found it was 40% quality. And because the quality of my second team was so low, Team 10 in the challenge was a mere 87%. All I had to do was buy 11 players of around 90% quality (old players, so almost no one else would be bidding for them) and I won the entire challenge on the first try. If I remember correctly, I think I won 4-1 in the final.

Wouldn't it make more sense for teams in the challenge to be the same quality for everyone? Say Team 10 would be 140% quality, for instance. If your team was 80%, you would have a hard time winning the challenge, but that would serve to encourage you to try building a stronger team. And if your team was 130% and you won the challenge with relative ease, then good for you. You would just be reaping the just rewards of working hard to have such a strong team.

It takes about 225 to 275 rests to make that jump with good trainers so to improve 11 players would have taken 5,000 rests. Remember in my case the teams were not level six nine- star players but maximized level seven nine stars. I understand they have to make money but they are hurting themselves. They treat this game as a five star restaurant when they should think of themselves as McDonalds sell more tokens by making them cheaper, easier to buy. Who cares if the teams are seven to eight stars or five or six? Let players buy tokens to train their players. They should experiment by lowering the token price by 50% just to see what happens.

I agree that Nordeus are often too greedy for their own good. For instance, having people pay 18 tokens to rejoin from city 7 in this challenge was too expensive. I'm sure there weren't many managers willing to pay that much. Conversely, if they had charged, say, 9 tokens, the number of managers paying to rejoin would have increased by a lot. And in the end, what is best? 100 people paying 18 tokens or 1,000 people paying 9?

Also, I don't see much incentive to buy tokens in order to improve my team. Like I had explained in detail on another thread, my team is around 104% at the start of each new season and I tend to get put in leagues with very strong teams. For instance, this season I have three teams that were over 115% on match day one. On the other hand, a RL friend of mine who also plays the game has an 82% team and he is usually the strongest team in his league. What this means is that it is actually easier for him to win titles with an 82% team than it is for me with a 104% one. How crazy is this? Instead of encouraging me to buy tokens in order to improve my players, the current system often makes me feel I should probably sell off my best players so that I would get put in easier leagues and play exclusively against same level teams in the Cup and Champions League. Nordeus are basically shooting themselves on the foot here.
