My math, assists reward?

My player was 120 when I claimed the rewarded. It was 30 percent reward. Correct? So, after claiming, my player was 121 and I am thinking, he should be 123.
So what am I missing? Though it has been my contention for several seasons, that the games math is not consistent when it comes to training.
