Well my opinion is if you have the 'best scorer' or the 'best assist' player in the league at the end, for award you get tokens.
Let's say 10 tokens for best scorer, 8 tokens for best assist player.

I think it's better to get training points for using the private training. Lets say that the player will get 12 or 10 training points so you can improve him.

Okay then let's say top scorer could get 20 skill points and top assist 15 skill points. It's not small thing to be top scorer, so it's fair to get around 20 skill points.
