When u play formation maple leaf, what tactic do you use?
I usually start defensive if the team is better, normal otherwise. Mixed, Whole Pitch, Normal, Mixed (short if they're better) and I always play zonal. I don't use force counter or offside trap very often. :)

I have too many left wingers, except Lawson is happiest as an MC so will only be an emergency sub at wing now. I hope to teach Tlusty right wing by next Season, not enough greens currently to PT him so doing it the slow way as my facilities spit out boosters.
I should have called Robin Poirot, Bobby Orr instead, he likes to get booked. :)
Still love him though, so I will try to improve that.
What kind of position in your squad that the players have high physic and mentality stats than offense or deffense?? all of them??
So, if i playing 5 to 6 midfielders, DM to AM, do i need to use pressing whole pitch??
Almost all my players have high physical/mental, except the couple (Brock, El Mrhanni) I haven't had long enough to change it (there's a pic of their numbers post before), and with an experiment happening with one of my DMC's, Michael Zorc. I am putting more on Defense on the Goalkeepers because they don't ever seem to get tired or injured on my team. :D
I like press whole pitch, but it can get you into trouble if you don't have a balanced formation with strong tackling skills.

Thanks for the compliment! I'm not the best to ask about formations, really. I'm glad you went 4 4 2, it is what I do what I am not sure what formation will work. But I tend to move guys about during a match! (I stopped using 3 wide at the back unless I have 2 DMCs also on the pitch, I trust my D men but not that much. One of my priorities is always a low goals against)

This Season I did ok (for my team) in the Cup, but getting trolled out of CL was a bit of a bummer.
League, however, was the easiest I think I have ever had: Attachment 23028
Because I have more options for forward players than ever before, some of my stalwarts haven't gotten as much pitch time as wont.
Bobo has played a lot as an AML or AMR rather than up front, so he didn't score as much as he could have.
That's the only regret having too much offense. :D

The younger ST's are starting to come into their prime, which is nice. I have mid field issues (who don't?) but most of my Team performed very well. My experiment buying a player that wasn't from a fictional team proved successful, I am happy with El Mrhanni, though as mentioned it means less playing time overall for my forwards.

Only one personnel change to start my 14th Season, I sold Matt Hannasyde, a player I had some time who was a solid performer though rarely a stand out. The sort you want to have in defense, really.

Since my success with El Mrhanni I feel more confident buying from a non fictional team, so I found a replacement that is 19 years old, probably a gen from last Season, that had numbers that hadn't been skewed too far off yet.
He's a middling fast trainer (not as fast as my lightning Zorc) but decent and I will have him trained to my satisfaction in no time. I named him after one of the best players from my hometown. :D

They were the first group of players I renamed, I chose detectives' names (props to those who like Elvis Costello and get the joke). Jack Regan was named with the same theme much later.
Most of the player's name I have chosen since have been motorcyclists of note; and then various sportsmen, some even footy players, all retired and many played in St. Louis or hail from there. I think the next player I rename might be Yogi Berra. Every team needs a philosopher and quotesmith. :D

I finished adding points to where they are the same difference as a ST, and he has been ON FIRE.
I don't know that I want all my DM's to score, but he had the balance for it when I got him and I am glad I went with it.
Defensive player of the Season was J. G. Reeder (with a close second from Kwoczala).
My old guys in the back have been doing great, and even though
they won't get their stars up again I will keep them so long as they do so well. :D

Why a 3* you might well ask? Well...
He is going to learn roles to be my replacement for Mike Hailwood who I have been missing dreadfully since I sold him. It is much faster to train him, he gets a cone a green so the math is easy, and it's been hard to find a fast enough 4 star to train. McBride is pretty good, but this kid blows him away in training speed, I haven't had a true fast trainer is so long it's awesome, he outpaces most of team exponentially.
(on "hard" training: 27 to 43, 68 to 80, 145 to 160) :D

I instead elected to sell an unlikely choice. He just wasn't getting the playing time, though he is a very good ST, and younger, I don't think I'm ever selling Pee Wee Wallace. so..

I usually have one DMC arrowed back, and the forward arrows on ML MR, or on the MC (depending on what I am facing, I might also put a forward arrow on the other DMC) Orders I almost always play Defensive, or Normal if it's a weaker Team... Mixed passing, zonal, whole pitch press (I only rec' this if your whole team is high physical, cos its works for me doesn't mean it will work for your guys. I think your Team looks good, but always see how your players perform (ratings & goals or being last line of defense) and try to put them out where they do best, and try adjusting arrows or adding skills points differently to see if you can improve them. When I play like I show you on screen shoots - my ML and MR have 5 or 6 ratings. Thats poor.

You can see I'm pretty crazy with applying points to physical, I believe this helps. You don't have to have them as crazy as me. But I think since you play a similar form, what I do might apply for your guys too. What I would try is saving up a few points, applying a handful of points and see if the player improves. Wingers are really kind of finicky, at least on my Team. If I get 7's out of them for ratings I am ok with that and do a happy dance when they get 8's. :)
