Don't know how people won the cup :/ Saw a friend below my level also won it, why it's hard for me :(
The Cup is the hardest, if you have a really good team... you get to play with managers levels above you, and they can improve their team more easily. I still hope to win another. ..maybe.. :D
The reason cup is so hard is that if u fumble in one match, u r most likely to be kicked out. And when it comes to me, Troll Mourinho can not keep his eyes off me for long. No matter how good I am looking in Cup, one of the rounds he places his eye on me, greets me and I an OUT!!!:p:( So to win the Cup, I need to keep Mourinho away from me the whole season. If only u guys can distract him so that he does not turn towards me.......:)

I don't have anyone I intend to sell right now, unless my Academy gives me sumthin awesome or the TL spits out the best player ever.. I am happy with my guys. I will be training a few of them in hopes of a better (as in any) Cup run this upcoming season. :D

Yea, I like to have two strikers to play in the league and a different pair to play in the Cup and CL. Keeps them fresh. And some strikers only perform in one competition. Not sure why. It's so random.
Yes, some players don't seem to like one competition or the other, you just have to see which they like and play 'em there. :D

Do you power train?
Yes, although a lot less than I had done on previous seasons. I will have used about 300 greens this season. I only train the younger players, and my current team is pretty elderly by T11 standards, so about half the squad got some training. I need to think about replacing some guys, but I get rather attached to my virtual players, which is why I have been making myself buy the youths my school disgorges whenever possible.
The youths I have bought from my Academy have been quite worthwhile, and even with less training, they are performing well. Not entering into the bidding wars has enabled me to spend more on green packs, so I'm happy. I have also noticed my youths' market values are much higher than comparable on the market, so if I do eventually decide to sell them I should get good $$.
Too bad I didn't save July Fourths guide. I know how it works, but I don't know how many green packs are needed per player nor how to get them in massive amounts. I've amassed 300 packs in 10 seasons, don't want to squander them.

The faster trainers get about a cone a green pack. I would just give an additional training per day to your fastest players or youth rather than attempting to PT very many, just slightly accelerated training to keep their Q up. PT goes through green packs like water.Quote:

Again (no surprise) Bobo is the clear leader in scoring, assisting.. 13 MotM's!!
But there are a couple surprises for me, left back Calado has been doing well assisting/corner kicks, which is great, and winger Ali Hassan has been a goal maker NOT a play maker. You'd think he'd get more in the assists but he's selfish and just scores instead. :D

John James, I am *not* the best person for formation advice, there are many more clever people on this Forum. :D
I normally play Maple Leaf, defensive, press whole pitch (if your players don't have high physicality this will make them tire fast though), arrows forward on wingers.
3 4 3, I might change to 3N 1 4 2 to meet them in the midfield, if they are weaker I do normal instead of defensive.

My youths were meh, I released both, as I don't want to sell anyone unless it's for a really good replacement.
I am checking the tranny list for gems, but so far only ducks... :(
I've the flu, so my teams are suffering too from weak management, I hope to be alert enough to find some youngsters for my team. (I am lucky to not have the market being tested but they still have to be a perfect fit.)
