End of the 2nd week
Well I feel like I have been on a roller coaster ride, the ups & downs of the league & Champions League & the highs & lows of the Cup. A week full of shocks injury's & lack of goals. Phew! I need a holiday!
I'll start with the League. DDWWDL was not what I wanted to see after the 2nd week, but gladly all other teams suffered similar results so the table is still wide open 4 points separating the top 6 clubs, I am the strongest of the 6 clubs as I am the 6th & holding all the rest up LOL.
Next the Champions League. Only 2 teams in the whole of the groups manage to go through unbeaten Kamikaze JR 6-0-0 & Gunners FC 5-1-0. We managed to just win our group on goal difference & are unfortunate to be drawn in the lower half of the draw where we will at some point face either of the forenamed clubs if we want to progress.
First we will have a similar opponent to face.
The Cup. Well what can I say I am really pleased to still be in it, pulling off some very good results against some strong opponents.
Preliminary's. 5-2 agg Quality +4
Qualifiers. 3-3a agg Quality -3.3
Play Offs. 6-0 agg Quality Level
Then the bombshell. We played a team same quality tactics were good we went 1-0 up after 5' then 1-1 2-1 up I'm thinking 2 away goals to take home I will settle for a 2-2 draw which happened in the 53' result I was pleased, then 3-2 down 4-2 down & finally 5-2 down. I have tried to find out what went wrong but couldn't see anything so tonight I play for survival needing a 3-0 or 4-1 win at home.
He will be playing 4-1-3N-2 as usual.
I haven't decided yet what to play but my 2 preferences are 3-5-2Flat maybe with attacking arrows on flanks or 4-5-1Flat same attacking arrows. I also delayed the kick off so I could get the maximum rest out of my players which was a good decision after loosing in the league earlier this afternoon.
At the moment the pleasing factor to all this is the Treble is still on
