On the Team bus Buffs Mad tried to rally the team. In view of the unexpected slips by nearest rivals he challenged his team to apply the pressure and "let's see if they can handle it!".

Buffs matched up to the opposition in a 4-4-2 but looking to go hard for the early goal. Buffs Mad had visibly delivered on his promise to Gibson to provide striker support to see if he could finally deliver goals. After 30 mins of stalemate a tactical switch was made to 4-2-2W-2. In a 13 min spell either side of the break Buffs were 4 up and cruising. (Still no goals for Gibson tho with his 'inferior' strike partner helping himself to a brace).

Two goals late on for the home side gave them momentum going into the final 8 mins. Even a Buffs reply in 84 mins to make it 5-2 couldn't completely squash the nerves and murmurs in the crowd as they conceded again almost immediately. A 5-3 win and with news filtering through that one of the challengers had stumbled to a draw it was a decent days work. But given the events of the last 15 mins this must become a lesson learned. Play to the final whistle Buffs!
