Cup Playoffs - Sex FC(Not joking) vs Fusion United
A early morning kickoff beckoned for the Clarets as they made the trip to Indonesia to face a rather distastefully named team, Sex FC. The pre-match omens where not good for the Clarets with the opponents 2.4Q higher than the away side. But in true Claret fashion, we managed to escape Indonesia with a narrow 2-1 victory thanks to two goals from Sandor, who came on for the injured Fitzsimons(4 days). Sadly Sandor was also injured(4 days) and both will be out for the next few games.
However, thanks to the away goals rule implemented in the cup competition Sex FC will need to win by 2 clear goals or 3 if the Clarets manage to score a goal at home. Ratings for the Clarets players are below!

The Prodigal Manager returns
Once upon a season, there was a manager called David. He brought great success to the Fusion United Shores. But one day, the success dried up when the manager left to pursue other ventures, players left, fans became disinterested in the club that was once their bastion of football. Many moons have passed since the manager left for shores unknown.
I return to find the club a shell of it's former self, the players, once legends of the club have left, leaving only dregs and what the old guard would call "dead wood". The owner, in his infinite wisdom, pleaded for any manager to save the Clarets from their current stupor, the club sitting 14th with 7 games played, on 0 points, and 63 goals conceded.
So, cometh the hour, cometh the Dave. I have returned to management! S15 may be a write off in terms of a title challenge, but I am hoping, with some luck and shrewd rebuilding of a decimated squad(14 retiring this season), we can finish strongly and invest much needed funds to rebuild.
3 wins on the bounce for the Clarets
A daunting fixture now for the Clarets, as they faced the undefeated league leaders, who before this match where 9-0 in terms of wins and losses in the league. This was to be brought to an abrupt halt when the Clarets attacked shined and a 4-0 success sees them climb out of the bottom of the league and into 11th place(Table to come at 13 games).
This win was hailed as an impressive attacking display, but the defense played its part, clearing any corners and freekicks that came their way, allowing the attackers, and in particular Phil Compper, our German tank, to shine. Compper is now on 3 goals in 2 appearances for the club, after signing on a free transfer to help bolster the squad ranks. If he continues this fine form he may be in contention to stay on longer term.
A good start to the return to management. The team have had their win bonuses revoked for this season as the club seeks to build a new financial foothold after expending a lot of resource into rebuilding an ageing team. At the time of writing the team now has 12 retiring players, with 12 players who are on 2-3 year contracts at the club.
