Why NIK ? Because it’s a part of my name – also a part of the Greek word NIKE (Neke) which means victory.
Why Brazil ? Because it’s the team I like to watch and support in world cups, because it likes to play spectacular football without carrying so much about the defense, because it has crazy (and beautiful ) fans and it can give me many stars and personalities to rename the players of my team like them.
Yes, when I ‘m buying a player that I intend to keep for some years, I ‘m changing his name to Brazilian star who ‘s playing a similar position. Many of them are older players from 70’s 80’s or 90’s.

I wanted to start this thread earlier, waiting to make it more complete but anyway

Strategy -Tactics

Strategy - Tactics
The goals of that team is to get as many titles it’s possible every season.
Every season I ‘m going for the league and Champions L. and as far I can go in the Cup. That’s why I don’t accept friend invitations of managers who have very good teams because the schedule of the team is too heavy if considering training young players too.
I believe that the game is 40% the right players - 40% formation/tactics and 20% other stuff.
I want to have players that covering all positions X2, with good quality , beginning the season with 5* and later with training get some of them to 6* or 7* the faster ones. So I ‘m going after young fast trainers, 5* and maybe few 5* veterans with q near to 6* and a special ability if possible. Those veterans most of the times I sell them at the end of the season because the next season they are more 4* players and cannot develop anymore. Sometimes I ‘m buying one scout list player for the season. I don’t power training players to reach 8* or 9*. I have limited sources that’s why I prefer to develop many players of the team to reach 6* or 7* later in the season.
I like the part of the game about training so I ‘m investing time and sources for doing this. I think it’s worthy and give me an advantage against most of the teams. I ‘ve spot very few teams so far that investing in a team with many young trainers.

Usually I have the No1 team in quality in my league and one of the top5 in Champions League.
In the beginning of playing the game, I used 4-4-2 and sometimes 4-5-1 V for defense against good teams. Now, I ‘m checking the formation of a rival opponent and trying to find the most proper formation and orders.
The only thing I ‘m not doing is to use DML-DMR. With those players I need also 3 DC so the team becoming to defensive and still vulnerable from the center.
This period of my life I ‘m playing only this game (don’t know for how much), watching and following the game almost every day with the help of my smartphone (android), keeping records, be an active member of the forum which help me a lot and I’m trying to give back as I can.
I think that my dedication to the game is that gives me the advantage.

FORMATION & ORDERS

I prefer to play from the flanks because it's more easy to find good wingers than ST. I don't mean exactly to find them - it's not so easy, but if you find the good ones, they are more steady in performance than the STs. Usually my wingers playing good during all their seasons.
A ST maybe can play well in a season and in the next he just can't score the same.
When I 'm playing vs teams that have wingers or ML & MR, I use DL + DR. Usually playing 4-5-1 V.
If playing vs teams that playing from the center, like 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 ND, then I gather my defenders in the center and playing 3-5-2V or 3DC-1DMC-3MC-AML-AMR-ST or 3DC-1DMC-2MC-AML-AMC-AMR-ST .
It depends from which good players I have available, the result I want and how strong is the opponent.

I prefer to play defense with counters because my experience so far shows that the game doesn't favor attacking unless opponent is much more easy team. Also, because I 'm not sure if I 'll watch my game, I always have set the defensive mentality. If the game is turning in the wrong way (don't have enough shots or if I am behind in the score), then I change to normal or attack.

Passing : From the flanks of course (unless I have also AMC , so mix then).
Pressing : Low - high gives a condition loss with the new update and from my games and experience so far, I couldn't see any bonus (any better performance) at high pressing.
The same with man to man marking. It's only condition loss and no bonus. If you 're gonna loose (bad day/bad roll dice), you're gonna loose. Game over.
Tackling style - normal : As any other manager, I don't know if and how exactly hard-normal or easy tackling is working,
so hard tackling > if I 'm desperate to reverse a result and easy tackling in a friendly game or a game -domination vs an abandoned team.
Passing style mix, or if opponent doesn't have DML-C-R , maybe try long pass.
Counters - yes of course (except if I 'm playing attack)
Offside trap - I don't know if and how this is working, so I use it only if I 'm desperate to reverse a bad result, only when playing attack, maybe to pull some trigger in the program.
Arrows
Blue arrows for my defenders. Defense is very important so I want my D to be focus in defense. Also not going to attack or counters because 99% they will fail to score.
DMC -If I want to keep the score or oppo has a dangerous AMC > Blue. If I want to push my team to attack > red. Neither > no arrow
The same with my MCs.
Wingers of course with red arrows. I don't expect from my wingers to play defense (I hope that my D will do that job). I want them to score.
ST - no arrow, they are in attack any way.
In normal games I give the low, min bonus, easy games (or not interest) none bonus, in finals, difficult semi finals, I give max bonus.

If the score doesn't go well, then I just use some orders as emergency button :
Attack or hard attack/ high pressing/ hard tackling/ offside/man to man.

Also making a sub in the brake - if the result isn't good and in the second half (around 70' min.)

I don't know if this way is correct 100%, but that's how I play and this way gave me a lot of titles so far.

Finance- sources management


When I started my second season, I invested in my team about 450T buying (plus an offer). From now then , I ‘m farming T from topeleven.com (this is difficult) or boosters from f/b for my trainers – if I can, when I can.
I also downloading small free apps for my smartphone getting some extra T.
I log in almost every day from the beginning of my game so I have the contract with an extra T every 4th day.
I tried one season the contract with getting T for victories but it’s not good as it looks even for a winning season.
I also have the daily jersey sponsor which gives more money.
I 've set my ticket price more for money than bonus 5% ball possession.
I ‘m trying to buy free agents and sell them right away to get the money.
Selling the players I don’t want anymore, in the last days of the season, with the highest price gives me good money.
Winning of course the titles or moving on in the Cup makes my team more wealthy.
I ‘m changing with friends 4 gifts every day.
I always make a sub in my games even in my finals to get 1 extra green.
If I have the time I ‘m giving friendlies with my other – low level team to win and get the boosters.
I’m very careful in auctions.
I ‘m trying to buy free agents and sell them right away to get the money but if I see some T buyer/farmer who bid first, I ‘m not bidding because there is no reason to go for a bidding war for a free agent (ok, sometimes I did it for revenge, for some other managers who didn’t respect it).
I have the time advantage (my time is -2 GMT) to find early in the morning good players in a “quite” hour so usually I don’t spend much T about my players.
Exception of course the first 1-3 days of the season where I ‘m trying not to involve if not necessary.

Theories –thoughts - other threads 1st post lv7

I ‘m trying to find the logic of the game which sometimes it’s different than the logic of football. Those are some of my thoughts.

Ball possession : I usually have the ball possession but the most important is the number of shots. If I have more, I don’t worry. Sooner or later the victory will come. If I don’t, I change my formation or orders or making a sub. I don’t believe much in ball possession from tickets or many friends. I think sometimes is giving me wrong picture.
Domination (possession) is coming more from quality of the team and secondary from the formation. It's like when a book maker giving percentage in the favourite team.
Shots, it's coming from the most proper (counter) formation and orders and secondary the quality of the team.
Success in shots it's coming from the quality or the form of the attackers vs the defenders and of course the luck - the roll dice of the game.

Rates of the players has a different meaning than I thought in the beginning of the game.
Rates have two meanings.
- One, is to rate the try of the players not the effort.
- Two : it's just for my personal use, to see if some player is out of form for a period.
Also I believe that rates are personal for every team and every player of the team
In generals,
I 'm pleased with 6-7 for my GK, for that team. If my GK has continuously 5s, then I 'll start to worry. (or accepting many goals of course).
7 it's ok for my defenders. If any of my defenders has continuously 7s and maybe some 6 I 'll start to worry. So avg 7,__ it’s good.
7 for my DMC it's superb. In generals if a DMC has 6-7 it's super. Avg 6,__ it’s very good.
7 for my MCs it's also very good. My MCs usually have 6-7, sometimes 5 or 8. Avg 6,__ it’s good.
8 for AM & ST it's good. If someone has continuously 7 it's not good. Avg 8,__ it’s good.
Rates of the players of other teams I want to buy, isn't my main criterion.

Troll results it’s a part of the game. I usually have 1-3 that kind of games every season- some of them with the usual conditions –opponent manager not present/some injury or a red card or goals from double corners. I used to live with that. The good thing is that I didn’t have them so far in critical games like semi or finals.

My idea is that my presence is helping the team to perform better, I can set a counter formation to my oppo and see the comments so I can decide who is the more inactive player or making mistakes/ loosing chances for goal. I also prefer my oppo manager not to be present except for injury cases without auto-sub (afraid for trolling). The good thing is that with the use of my smartphone I can watch most of my games. In some cases I changed the clock time to be able to watch the game. I have a good team so I believe that if I don’t watch my games it’s more possible to have a troll result.

Season 1 - Season 2
In my first season there isn't much to say. I started round in the middle, with a classic team, 1 good player and all the others medium, added 2-3 veteran players and won my first league. Main purpose, to understand the rules of the game and can play it better.
Season 2 - with the Tokens I bought, I get some good players, young and veterans. The team :



Brazilian stars of the team :
Nilton Santos, the scout/list player I bought for this season and one of my best players,
Romario, Maicon, Ronaldinho - veteran 5* players who become 6* with participations
Oscar, Hulk, D.Alves, Ronaldo, Falcao, David Luiz young players.
At that point I realized that all the young players don't perform equally in training, I noticed that there is some relation with the Value and the Wage of the player and starting my research with the help of older threads of the forum. This season the forum and some members of it helped me a lot to go deeper in the game.
I got my second league cup rather easy and the Undefeated achievement.

Also got my first Champions League Cup but I lost the opportunity to get my first treble. I think that I lost the semi final cause of my inexperience in formation/tactics.

Season 3
New season, starting to understand better how training is working (and starting my guide how to detect fast trainers) I focused on buying some young good trainers.
Brazilian stars of the team :
Rivaldo - my scout/list player of the season, with excellent performances as a Free-Kick specialist.
Socrates, a veteran player (x-scout), Cafu, a slow trainer
Tiago Silva, Robinho, Robero Carlos young fast trainers.
Also to add here my first (T) academy player, Greek one, Apostolou - GK.


Another easy league. Not much to say.

Well, what can I say about the Cup. Another lost semi final, another lost opportunity to win the treble.


I surprised my oppo in the first game (he tried to use and some low q players) but in the second leg I couldn't hold the pressure of so many 7* and 8* players.

Season 4
This is the team when I finished my season.
I was very sad that I had to sell my ST Tarak, maybe the best player of this season but he was already started to be slow on training. Next season he would be 22 y.o., medium trainer and probably only 5*.
Some other players
Kempa, the GK, a veteran player with good performances in CH.L. and Cup
Diawara, also veteran player , having continuously 7-8 rates.
Romani, a scout/list player I bought with 50 T and playing mostly as DMC had excellent rates of 7-8.
New young players - Brazilian Stars
NEYMAR - Ishikura, who 's gonna rename as RIVELINO and Cohen, gonna rename as ZICO

Another early goodbye in the Cup


The disappointment of the season was my GK, an academy player. I spent so many green boosters to get him 6*, he played easy games in the league and he kept getting 5s .Next season, I used him in the first games, he continued with 5s and finally I decide to sell him. From now then I 'll never pay 20T for an academy player. Maybe they are fast trainers but need a lot of time and sources and you don't know how they 'll perform this or a next season.
