Don't know why they didn't go along with this 'Level Banded' format, would of at least kept some easy preliminaries for the strongest teams instead of playing another team as powerful as yours on day 1, plus as we all know the new cup format doesn't favour any token buyers.Quote:

Plus when I did an unofficial poll, It showed strong support for the 'level banded' format and even the old cup system got more support than the current new format.

At least with the old format you had something to strife for, that you could some day be able to win it.
This new setup only helps lower quality teams at their league level that competes against lower level with higher quality teams since they can buy much better players cheaper after the season has begun. It annoys me that some semi-active managers I have met will be able to get the cup before me just because of how you have constructed it.

So that's why I thought that my opponents this Cup season were a bit weaker than the previous seasons!

In our (me and my friend) humble opinion, This new format is suck, sorry to say. Why? Because the prize of the match is fewer than last season. And its not just about the trophy man, its all about how do you train your team to beat the higher team, and thats the sensation, feel the sensation when facing the higher team, even you lose, you still get 1-2M cash in front, right? but now, Level 4 price for prelimenary just +- 300-400K, what do u can do with it? there is no diference between CL, CUP and League for the high level managers now. every day, every match is like CL final. it shouldn't be that way at least in the 1st half of the CUP matches.

A pity you think like this because i only spend tokens between seazons and do you really think each one is a hit!!!!! Hell no , you can say it's a 50/50 deal,so not always a win-win situation ! The knive cuts both ways ,my friend, and when it goes bad,you LOSE bad .So calmly i climbed up and when i bought i tried to do it in function off what i put in my head when i begun, double position players with equal qualitys in every position! I love the new format...i still dont get why people complaining...i am the token user and i dont find a problem beating higher level with same/similar quality with mine...
Vote for more prize money and level-banded Cup.
You must fix your servers PROBLEM! NOT NEW CUP FORMAT! most of us can't see our FRIENDs! most of can't buy 5 stars players,because we are in stupid server! why my friends can buy for example 43-44 Quality players! but i can't? ha?

I don't like it either. How can you pair at strength of teams? Is so unrealisitic and unfair. When you do good and get good players you get punished for it.
Soz Nordeus, this is too much for me. You provide a simulation soccer manager game. If you wanted underdogs to have a chance, you should listen to July Fourth lvl band match up. CUP DOESNT FEEL LIKE THE REAL DEAL ANYMORE and while you claim that this was to make game more fair for all, at the same time you made it greedy towards aggressive tokens buying more and more scouts after cup schedule is set up. Now a couple of scouts is not enough for any team to make the difference, a player has to spend way more money to make his team go a longer way through competition....
You may claim this is fair for all managers and maybe you re right. My opinion is, at the same time you made game more demanding into spending more and more money and I am sorry to see a great game heading that way!
If all goes well I should advance to Cup final where i'll meet opponent 3 levels higher and his ST is legend in my eyes...How the hell am I gona stop his ass?
this new change has gone a bit too far now its biased in favour of the teams at lvls 17 to 20 the teams at lvl 15 and 16 stand no chance of progressing beyond the first round ,i think using the same format as the ch league is the way to go as every one plays at there own lvl so their management skills can be put to the test .Quote:

I have found that this new cup format is no better than the old one, it was change bc people said u could see who would win before it started and with this new one would be fair and its not. We had it for 3 season and so far there been one guy who won the first came third last season and now worst cast this one will be runner up so what is the difference from the old one. why can't it be that the cup has players from the same level bc then all have chance to buy the same player at.the same skill levels all that need to be done is the break each level down so if u r level 5 have people who ratings r the same so have 30 to 35 and 35.1 to 40 ans so on and this would make a fair cup where any one has a chance.
Hate this one.... Make it a mix from V1 and V2...
This might be a bit of a mix between v1 and 2 but it stops teams meeting that can still have a big difference in ratings, in the cup this year for me the lowest was 43.4 and the highest was 60.7 and most avg 50 so what chance does he have and the finaist r there and that guy that is always there is 61.l8and he other finalist is 54.2 so still makes hard for him to win

Well that guy won 3-1 and fair to play him but out of 3 cup on this formate he won 2 and 3rd on the other but this is meant to be fair. yea right

How about my last CUP game i was surprised for the result, me against the semi-auto team and lesser q than me but I had knocked in 2nd leg though my squad stamina+morals got better than 1st leg also.
