Player's quality or stars?

Hello everybody!!! Can u please help me out? What is more important - player's quality or stars. Please in details. Thanks in advance.

quality never decreases, it can only increase.

stars will changed depending on what level you are on.

Suppose you and two friends each have a Q42 player. For you, that player may be a 5* player. Your friend one level below you will see that same quality player as a 6* player. The friend a level above you will see his player as a 4* player.

If you mean which matters most when comparing players, then like tarcanes said earlier, quality

Star rating is relative, while quality is absolute. A Q42 player will always be at Q42 no matter what kind of manager looks at him, but stars will change depending on a manager's level. Stars are purely an indication of quality and so have no impact on a player. All stars really do is provide an easy way for you to judge how good your player is against other players in the league. But it is quality that actually determines how good the player is.
