What happens in terms of players' fitness? Does it reset to 99% or stay as it was before the new season starts? How about for morale?

To be honest I assumed new seasons started on the 1st of every month. I thought "Well I have 2 days before I start playing football again, let's just train my guys to the max". Boy am I glad I come to the forums
