Player raiting

I have bought a Player 5* guy, but he never get a football match rating higher then a 6 mostly its a 5. It a central midfielder and i play 4-4-2. His total rating is 5,7. Is there anyone knows why he is playing Tis bad?

My other players gets scores like 7 and 8.

Give him time I bought a free kick specialist couldnt score for toffee 1st 5 games now he scores like there is no tomorrow !!
