Your becoming like our lot... Tend to always to scrap out the games, always feel that we should be scoring a goal a game more on average.

LEAGUE ROUND 9 - NINE IN A LINE
July Fourth 5-0 Pistol Rovers
July Fourth 131.2 4-4-1-1 1st half, 3N-4-1-2 2nd half - Pistol Rovers 123.2 4-2-2-2 Hexagon
July Fourth faced a Pistol Rovers team who themselves are challenging for the top 4 this season in what will clearly be a battle for 4th in the table for all the other teams since Ourselves,Batigo United and GZIRAUTDMALTA are going to pull away from the rest of the field in the title race but for now July Fourth are concentrating on their game rather than worrying about other teams in the league and having a strong team is helping us... An early chance for Miku was blocked before Papaleo broke clear and struck it hard past the keeper to give us the lead, Watson crossed in to the box midway through the first half and found Papaleo who got up and headered it over the keeper for 2-0. Ramirez and Childs did a bit of defending in the remainder of the first half, we threw on Pietropaolo for support for Papaleo in the second half to hopefully get Papaleo the hatrick but that never materialised as Papaleo would rather try and supply Pietropaolo instead. Watson found Beckett in the area and he struck it past the keeper for 3-0, It was 4-0 when Papaleo doing the hard work squared off for Ramirez instead of trying to chip the goalie and Ramirez knocked it in for an easy goal, Petersen's corner for Calavicci header for our 5th of the game. Afterwards it was more defending for us to do as Pistol Rovers searched for a consolation goal but we held firm to keep the clean sheet.
Goals: Papaleo (10,28) Beckett (55) Ramirez (66) Calavicci (70) MOTM: Papaleo - 1pt
Manager Points: Papaleo 3,Calavicci 2,Watson 1
Top 5 Standings: Beckett 19,Petersen 14,Calavicci 11,Watson 11,Ramirez 10.
Team Talk: A delightful performance for July Fourth for much of this game as we took our chances well and won by a good margin over a decent Pistol Rovers team. The new Papaleo seems to be more effective when played as a lone striker rather than partnered.
LEDDY FC drop to 2nd place in the league after loosing 4-1 away to Galatasary who are now top by one point, they are still to come to our place near the end of the season ( more in LEDDY FC thread below)......
‘I’ll tell ya – you can tell him now, he’ll be watching (Galatasary manager) – we’re still fighting for this title. And I’ll tell you honestly, I will love it if we beat them – LOVE IT!’
Nice to see scouts on my auctions list .....
