Now this is more like it!. A much better performance here and we have registered our biggest win of the season. Our formation was somewhat effected when Van der Zande went off injured after 10 minutes and Goff had to play OOP. However, we took the lead through Petersen from a long range strike putting his tally to 493 goals. Goff got a goal too and struck from long range to give us a 2 goal advantage. Petersen got his 2nd just after half time from a free kick and he could have had a hat trick if his shot was on target a few minutes later. Warmwater then headed in from close range following a corner and Vittalone's controlled shot made it 5-0. That was the final action of the game as we just passed the ball around, but this is a huge improvement from our previous games.
Goals: Petersen (15', 46), Goff (27'), Warmwater (56'), Vittalone (72')

My intention is to buy and fill my squad with 29-33 yr olds, and then 1-2 day before a new season starts - Sell all of them and buy crappy free agents to fill the spots (+make some good money as well). This strategy will also help us avoid the "better" teams on lvl 3 or 4 in the CUP. :)

July Fourth like last evenings league game were a long way off their best but did enough to beat B F C United. We created many chances in the game but never really put many away. Pietropaolo had countless shots blocked in the first half but the breakthrough came on 37 minutes when Papaleo passed to Pietropaolo who had a tap in this time and could not miss, Beckett a minute later made it 2-0 from distance. July Fourth were never under any real threat from B F C United as they offered nothing going forward, So we threw on Kusama at HT and immediately he got on the action with some defending before trying to create one or two opportunites in the second half, Miku was forced off injured and Petersen went to AMC with O'Sullivan coming in on the right midfield, this didn't really change much as Petersen and Papaleo kept finding shots blocked all game and Papaleo had a great chance on 90 minutes to make it 3-0 but put it wide to confirm how poor July Fourth were today.

Both are expected to start against "Besiktas" this afternoon and revalued by performance. Quite a boring game here. We did have chances but our opponents played like 9* as they always do against us. Petersen missed a host of free kicks and we really should have won by more here. The only goal of the game was when Nebuchadnezzar set up Petersen Jr just before half time. We changed to the buterfly late in the 2nd half but that almost went against us. Looks like we'll be sticking with this asymmetric formation for now.
