Players market value?

I know that the value of a player decreases every season because of his age but this situation is wierd. I have a 19 years old player which has a market value of 86M last season whilst he was 18 and now his value has decreased a lot to 78M. but my 29 years old player's value has seemed to increased by 0.5M i.e last season at 28 years his value ws 40.1M but instead of decreasing his vle has moved upto 40.6M. how is this possible?

I guess because his rating increases by number, not stars...

I have an AMC/AMR 26 years old, he usually got two skills points by achieving around 220% skill progress after most of the matches I played him while my youngest 19 year-old can only get around 150% skill progress after each match. So my old man's value increases after each season.
