July Fourth Season Review
July Fourth Season Summary (Game Season 44, My Season 22, My Level 22)
League
Final Position 1st Played 26 Won 23 Drawn 3 Lost 0 GF 88 GA 12 GD +76 PTS 72
Although the stats show we were unbeaten in the league, I will declare this league season in fact a disappointing campaign from July Fourth, There was 3 games drawn this season, An early draw against Adanaspor which ended our League winning streak at 34 from the previous seasons 26-0-0, There was also draws with BESIKTAS and La Tapa Javinma, but we also had a series of wins in the league that were unimpressive and this lead to us being well short of the 100 goal mark this season. But we cannot complain about being unbeaten again and winning the league title.
Champions League
Final Position Winner Played 13 Won 12 Drawn 1 Lost 0 GF 47 GA 4 GD +41
We had the aim of winning the CL with a 13-0-0 record since we had not had achieved a 13-0-0 CL for quite sometime now and we failed in the group stage with a surprise 1-1 draw against the phone, but we put in some great displays in the knockout stages and were in never in any real doubt that they were going to be beaten, They were fine wins over Lonchas,Batigo United,Kocaspor46 and Milk FC in the final.
Cup
Final Position KO in Last 16 Played 8 Won 6 Drawn 0 Lost 2 GF 18 GA 7 GD +11
July Fourth enjoyed a good campaign in the cup in what has to be said when playing against the best teams in the server, There were fine wins over Hetman Zamosc and Fontanellese before beating El Capo on penalties to reach the last 16 draw but thats as far as it got after July Fourth were tactically outdone from Klein Chicago. FC.KOYTALA are the new server champion after beating TeamSystem COBRA 1-0 in the final.
Total Games in all 3 competitions: Played 47 Won 41 Drawn 4 Lost 2 GF 153 GA 23 GD +130
Not the best of campaigns I believe performance wise in the league but statistically it was sound, our best performances came in the CL and the early stages of the Cup. When you think about it, it was another fine season by us overall.

Performance of the Season
July Fourth 5-0 Batigo United (Champions League, Quarter-Final, 2nd Leg)
Going into the game with a slender 2-1 advantage from the 1st leg, July Fourth not only produced their best performance of the season but one of the greatest performances of all time. July Fourth with Pietropaolo being in 'Beast Mode' helped battered their rivals in the first half with scoring 4 goals and added a 5th in the second half to beat a very strong Batigo United well.
Disappointment of the Season
July Fourth 1-3 Chicago Klein (Cup Last 16, 1st Leg)
We were slight favourites to progress to the quarter-finals of the cup, but this game didn't go to plan, we were leading 1-0 but Chicago Klein came roaring back to equalise before HT, then with only 10 mins left Chicago Klein switched to the ND and scored 2 late goals, We did win the 2nd leg 1-0 away but it wasn't enough.
July Fourth Players Review and Player Of The Season
We were happy with the performances of all our players, Knight was as usual solid in goal, Hogan and Ramirez controlled the defence and flanks well with Regal having a decent debut season for is, Hardy was average but wasn't brilliant. Beckett and Watson had a good season in midfield scoring plenty of goals as well as Miku and Kusama finding late form to finish the season well, Miku-Zidane was decent but not exactly amazing, Michu had a spectacular season scoring 10 as a reserve, Papaleo was very efficient infront of goal as usual, There was one player that did however give a lot of bad ratings when played and that was reserve GK Mcfly he will be sold alongside declining players like Diamond,Childs and Malik. Michu will be replaced too if the right player is available.
3RD... AL CALAVICCI
I really like Al Calavicci as a defender and he was again sharp and brilliant and never makes many mistakes and still wins vital tackles and headers however I feel he wasn't as amazing as last season that won him POTS and there was 2 players that were better than him I feel this season.
2ND... CHANO PETERSEN
The July Fourth like for like Product of Perfect Tactics' Chano Petersen is living upto his name at the highest levels and he has improved on this last seasons tallys in both goals and assists and this is the reason why we have him in the team, I have a feeling that he will only get better as he gains more experience since he is still young.
THE JULY FOURTH PLAYER OF THE SEASON IS...
Alessio Pietropaolo
I feel that Pietropaolo was just simply a awesome player especially in the first 3 weeks of this season where he just seemed to have a beast mode and there were games where he was just destroying defences without even trying and was scoring braces and hatricks, Although he lost a bit of form late on, He certainly setup July Fourth onto winning more silverware this season and I feel that this time Pietropaolo finally wins POTS after being richly rewarded for hard work for July Fourth.
Off The Pitch Performance
Cash wise July Fourth are still sound and they can afford to spend $600M on win bonuses this season without breaking too much into a sweat, However playing 118 friendlies at over $3M a game for ticket sales and merchandise over the season added to the income.
July Fourth ended the season with a fan base of 6,242,354.
Board Meeting
We are going to inject more T for next season and we will have another 2200T for some new signings and power training.
Shame the bloody Toon can't do similar. :( http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i7.../brickwall.gifhttp://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i7.../brickwall.gif
won level 8 today by 2 points. 3 in-a-row. no cup or champions league triumph though.
League Round 26
United Til I Die 3-0 Real Madrid FC
United Til I Die 96.0 4-1-2N-1-2ND - Real Madrid FC 91.9 4-3W-1-2
Plenty of possession and pressure and we had more shots on target and totally overwhelmed our opponents, on 8 minutes Bosch breaks free and lays it off to Bar who finishes nicely, on 16 minutes Turpin punts a hopeful ball forward to Da Cunha who beats his marker and unloads with a powerful shot that beats the keeper, on the half hour Veuthey unleashes a pile driver which spins off Casillas to make it 3-0 at half time, we were a bit wasteful second half but we did not let our opponents back into this match so nothing else to report.
Goals: Bar (8), Da Cunha (16), Veuthey (32) MOTM: Turpin
Team Talk: Stunning performance against difficult opposition and looks like 442nd is unbeatable, well we have done our job and gone top by 1 point now we must wait for an 1hr & half to see if rivals will drop points, either way I am happy coz we did our job.
Perfect Tactics' player of the season is NOT Chano Petersen. Who will it be?
Part 1 of this season report will be released soon.
wowsers, this was a bit of a nail biter:

Perfect Tactics - Season Review, Part 1
With one more match to come for us, we write the first part of our season review. This is aimed at the players more than our results.
Player of the season:
Shlomo Shlimazl
One of our highest scoring players and assisters this season and deserving of the player of the season award and scored an important goal in the final of the CL. He has been consistent since we got him but Petersen had always pushed him out with his unstoppable run of form. His assist rate puts him ahead of Suparman who didn't miss it by far.
Young player of the season (U21)
Bojan Milosavljevic
We signed him last season and he has come through the ranks to be a solid defender. He's also our most expensive player and at the age of 19, there is a lot of promise for his future. Bojan racked up 5 goals and a MOTM which isn't too bad for a defender.
Signing of the season
Batman Bin Suparman
Without a shadow of a doubt, he has been our best signing this season with over 20 goals in his first season at the club. He has taken over free kick duties from Petersen and scored 4 goals on his debut. He will be PTed back to 7* next season.
On the up
- Zenith Zenzizenzike - A massive improvement from last season and he is finding his feet. His partnership with Shlomo Shlimazl has been incredible this season.
- Shlomo Shlimazl - Consistent as ever, player of the season.. Enough said.
- Luke Warmwater - Another defender who has improved by a lot this season.
- Xande Van der Zande -One of our most improved defender this season. A few seasons ago we were close to selling him but he has found his form and has been solid in defence. Joint most MOTM this season.
Going down
- Chano Petersen - A huge decrease in form but it was expected as he has hit 5* now and is slowly depreciating in effectiveness.
- Gaylord Silly - He has been a flop this season, absolutely terrible.
- Lee Vittalone - Dropped in form, not as effective as he once was.
- Antonio Nascimento - Again dropped in form and it hasn't been his best season at all. Mainly due to playing him OOP but even when he was playing as an AML, he didn't produce the attacking threat that he used to.
- Chano Petersen Jr - Well, what can I say? A replacement of Chano Petersen hasn't even come close to replicating his stats. Disappointing season from him.
Part 2 to follow after our final league game.
Going into our final league game the top 3 scorers and assists look like this...
Scorers:
Suparman: 24 (1/4)
Shlimazl: 22 (2/1)
Nascimento: 21 (5/1)
Assisters:
Nascimento: 16 (8/11)
Shlimazl: 16 (8/11)
Petersen: 15 (2/1)
All 4 players mentioned above are set to play but who will remain top of the charts? odds are in brackets
No title, we finish 2nd by 2 points, the bottom side put up a fine showing but could not score and our rivals scored on 60 mins and it was all over!
25 minutes to last match of the season and for perfect season 26-0-0
What a turnaround... we won 0-9 in the league.
A hat trick from Shlimazl puts him just ahead of Suparman who didn't score today.
Nascimento and Shlimazl are joint top assisters as they got 1 assist each.
Petersen got an assist but it wasn't enough to be in joint 1st. He did score 2 goals, however.
Stay tuned for part 2 of our season review!
July Fourth Young Player Of The Season (U21)
BREAKING NEWS: We haven't had a proper award for Young POTS as Perfect Tactics have been awarding it every season, I've been through past season stats and records and have full back dated the Young POTS award from L13...
Chano Petersen is the winner this season.
Winners are as follows:
L13 Fernando Jose Rivas
L14 Peter Killerich
L15 Aaron Ramirez
L16 Aaron Ramirez
L17 Jet Hogan
L18 Hatsune Miku
L19 Hatsune Miku
L20 Alessio Pietropaolo
L21 Ryogo Kusama
L22 Chano Petersen
Aaron Ramirez in BOLD as highlighted won the full POTS back in L16, Fernando Jose Rivas was rubbish in L13 but won the award because we was the only player U21 that particular season. Before L13, July Fourth traditionally had players over the age of 21.
Season Review
League
2nd - We took it down to the last day but 2 late defeats to 442ND were our downfall but we are happy as midway through season we were in mid table and it was another strong league, a plus point was we had the best defensive record but we could have done with scoring more goals.
Champions League
Quarter Final - We were in trouble in the group stage but recovered and qualified and were looking ok but run into the strongest side in the quarters and we had no answer to their 442ND
Cup
Preliminary Stage - We were thumped 5-0 on Agg and totally outclassed.
Player of the Year
Zouma has lead by example once again at the back as he heads into his twilight years but will earn himself a contract extension as he has proved he can still turn in performances at this level.
Sanchez has been exceptional with 8 goals and 12 assists
Bosch has been exceptional with 9 goals and 9 assists
but your player of the year is
Johansen who has been exceptional with 19 goals and 5 assists and 7 man of the match awards
Moreau was sold this season after netting 74 goals in the last 3 seasons but his performances had dropped
McNamara
Di Gennaro
Summers
Ivanov
Butland
Could all be sold next season as their performances were way below par and have been noted by the manager.

Man of the season T.Peeraer, top goal scorer in the league and golden boot geezer for 3rd season in a row...
What can I say, working on a budget shows you can win things, although the league was just a climb to far against a team 10 ratings above, but I kept with the same squad from last season........good stuff indeed.
League Match - 26

Match Report:

Team Talk: yes we done it for the first time in FCB's history it is a perfect season 26-0-0 and pts difference is 17 pts which is also a record for FCB
LONDON CITY 5-0 BANCHORY FC
Our final match was a stroll in the park really, (although for some strange reason, our goalkeeper Rhys Williams was made man of the match?). The result was never in doubt after just 10 minutes, by which time we were 2-0 ahead. Firstly, Vener Chekmarev scored a superb solo goal on 9 minutes, and then a minute later, Wayne Dixon converted a penalty. We then proceeded to play some exhibition style football, which could have produced more goals before the break. After the restart, Jack Daniels (playing his last game), centred for Dixon to add his second after 56 minutes. Twelve minutes from time, Chekmarev grabbed himself a second goal, and with 5 minutes remaining, Dixon completed his hat-trick, heading home another cross from Daniels.
And so ends what is probably our best ever season, as we've won the league by a margin of 13 points. Wayne Dixon and Jacob Wilkinson have been having their own private battle to win the league's golden boot award, and Dixon just nicked it by one goal after his hat-trick today.

So quite a poor season all in all... that stupid defeat messed things up but you gotta take what you get! The 2 wins over Esi FC proving vital.
when teams are selected to league? like a CL and Cup in first day of season? i ask because teams and fixtures in league are displayed before the end of the second day of the season
Good luck all in the new season and till the next thread how are you doing ;)
