Champions League Group D Round 3
FC Cotti 0-5 July Fourth
FC Cotti 123.6 3W-1-3W-1-2 - July Fourth 135.7 3N-1-4-2 then 52 minutes dandelion
A slightly earlier than usual kick off time for us in the Champions League with playing away but this didn't hinder our performance as July Fourth were top notch for this one, It didn't take us long to take the lead with Beckett's cross from a free-kick found Papaleo to header in for our lead, Pietropaolo midway through the first half made it 2-0 by beating a defender and shooting into the roof of the net, July Fourth were in command for the remainder of the first half but didn't convert anymore chances, The second half was just the same, Kusama and Petersen having efforts blocked before Pietropaolo's sprint speed was too much for the Cotti defence as he easily got past them and beat the keeper for his second of the game, Miku's speculative effort also found the net a minute later before Pietropaolo was able to convert his hatrick from a Petersen corner towards the end of the game, Papaleo had one more chance late on but nothing came of it.
Goals: Papaleo (6) Pietropaolo (21,62,77 HAT) Miku (63) MOTM: Miku.
Team Talk: Was nice for us to actually go out there and perform for once without the pressure of the poor start to the league campaign get to us, plus a sound win like this means we are just about through to the knockout stages of the Champions League already.
